Exile Date Notes	It is known that he was recalled by Jovian but the circumstances of his previous exile are unclear. There may be some confusion with the Eustathius of Antioch exiled under Constantine (in c. 326-329), although that Eustathius is believed to have died in the 330s.

Notes	Jerome, de viris illustribus 85 says that Eustathius was banished to Trajanopolis in Thrace under the emperor Constantius, but there seems to be some confusion, pehaps with Eustathius of Sebaste or with Eustathius of Antioch banished by Constantine, who was indeed sent to Trajanopolis.
